Job Title: Quality Engineer

Location: Dengie, Essex
Salary: Circa £40,000

A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quality Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company in based in the Dengie area. You will be responsible for maintaining quality throughout the product lifecycle and supporting the Quality and Regulatory Affairs Manager. Candidates must have a strong understanding of quality assurance systems and processes, ideally within a regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the primary Quality representative within the Engineering department to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
Support verification activities and contribute to the maintenance and improvement of the company's Quality Management System (QMS)
Assist in the creation and ongoing management of product Technical Files alongside the Regulatory Affairs Manager
Provide cross-functional quality support at all business levels
Engage with production teams on the shop floor, including within cleanroom environments

Skills & Experience Required:

Qualified in an engineering or technical discipline
Experience working in a regulated industry (e.g. medical devices, aerospace, automotive, pharma)
In-depth knowledge of relevant quality standards and regulations (e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 13485, MDD/MDR, CFR Part 820, ISO 14971)
Hands-on experience using quality tools and methodologies such as FMEA, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, 8D, APQP, 5 Whys, MSA, Statistical Analysis (e.g. Minitab)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage workload independently and effectively
Experience generating and maintaining CE/UKCA Product Technical Files
Lean Six Sigma knowledge and practical experience (desirable)
Highly organised and methodical, with a keen eye for detail

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:30pm
Friday: 8:30am - 2:30pm
