Product Specialist – Hardware Engineering

  • Are you ready to take your technical expertise to the next level and make a real difference in healthcare? We’re looking for a Product Specialist – Hardware Engineering to join our dynamic Serum Work Area team based in Burgess Hill. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned Service Engineer or a technically skilled professional who thrives on solving complex challenges and delivering outstanding support to clients and colleagues across Northern Europe.

    The Role

    In this pivotal role, you’ll be the technical go-to expert, delivering remote support, troubleshooting, and training for advanced diagnostic systems used in laboratories and healthcare facilities. You’ll work closely with field service teams, sales managers, and international colleagues to ensure world-class service delivery across six countries.

    What You’ll Do

  • Provide remote hardware diagnostics and support for high-tech medical instruments.

  • Assist and advise field service engineers and internal teams across supported regions.

  • Collaborate with sales and support teams to enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Participate in product demonstrations and technical input for tenders.

  • Support complaint handling, trend analysis, and quality documentation.

  • Occasionally provide on-site support for critical cases or system launches.

  • Take on special projects and contribute to continuous service improvement.

    Training & Development

  • Structured six-month onboarding program, including hands-on training at European training centres.

  • Ongoing development to keep you at the forefront of diagnostic innovation and customer support excellence.

    You’re a confident problem-solver who enjoys working with advanced technology and helping others succeed. You’re collaborative, detail-oriented, and excited about shaping the future of diagnostics.

    Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent technical/clinical background

  • Previous experience in technical support or customer-facing service roles

    Key Skills:

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities

  • Clear, effective communication skills

  • Self-driven and comfortable working independently

  • Culturally aware and collaborative in diverse, international teams

  • Highly organised with excellent time management

  • Previous experience with diagnostic systems or hospital equipment
