This is an exciting opportunity to join the Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM) Team responsible for sales & clinical education activities across the Perioperative Complications product range. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager you will work in conjunction with the Sales Specialists to protect, grow and execute sales targets, in line with the ACM strategy and business plan in Scotland.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Providing expert knowledge relating to Perioperative Complications focusing on BIS, INVOS and NOL within within Scotland to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Developing, building and strengthening long-term relationships with relevant (clinical) stakeholders, KOL and local Ad Boards and societies in close collaboration with Account Managers, maximising existing sales opportunities.
  • Spending time in the OR working alongside our clinical stakeholders providing customer education on the safe and effective use of our products, clinical insights and sharing best practice throughout the region.
  • Business developing of both new and existing technologies through a combination of capital and consumables sales, whilst collaborating with Sales Specialists and Marketing to drive penetration, clinical awareness and acceptance.
  • Solution selling to the NHS and private hospitals within the defined area.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of Medtronic and competitor solutions in the UK; proactively communicating news to the sales team, marketing and management teams.
  • Leading pre-purchase trials and evaluations, as well as instigation of product conversions.

Required Knowledge and Experience:


• Relevant experience in clinical selling
• Proven track record of success in sales, market development or clinical training
• Perioperative Complications clinical knowledge as well as industry knowledge
• Strong network in the healthcare sector in Scotland
• Capacity for Business development
• Clear and assertive communication and excellent presentation skills


An advanced degree or clinical education or Nursing background would be a clear advantage for this position.
