  • Initial 9 month fixed term contract

    On behalf of a global manufacturing company, based near Rochdale, we are recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer, initially on an Interim basis, to assist with an increased workload within their quality department.

    With previous experience in Quality Engineering, ideally gained within pharmaceutical or medical devices the purpose of the role is;

  • Review and improvement of process control documentation

  • Investigation of customer complaints and internal CAPA’s and NC’s.

  • Support equipment qualification, process validation and improvement/re-validation activities

  • Investigate and support other departments in the investigation of customer complaints, CAPA’s & NC’s

  • Review, update and train out process control related documentation e.g. machine specifications, setting sheets

  • Review and amend QMS documentation e.g. procedures, Work Instructions as required

  • Assist the Product Development & Engineering teams to ensure all product development & validations are carried out to the required standard

  • Facilitate FMEA & root cause analysis activities as required

  • Review of defect samples

  • Lead or facilitate CAPA projects as required and coach Team leaders on CAPA process

  • Support Quality Technologists as required in carrying out their daily tasks

  • Deputise for the Quality Manager as required.

    With a recognised quality qualification the successful candidate will have the following skills and experience

  • Use of quality tools & techniques e.g. root cause analysis, DoE

  • Qualification of equipment and process validation

  • Statistical analysis methodology

  • Ability to self-manage time and workload

  • Good communication skills, both written & oral

  • Able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
