Field Service Engineer Medical Devices

£38-40k Base Salary / £10k Annual Bonus Excellent package including car allowance and all expenses / corporate benefits.

Area 1 London and Surrounding areas – West of London, M4 – Swindon, Newbury, Reading, Basingstoke area...

Area 2 - Birmingham up to Liverpool and Manchester and North Wales

This role focuses on the following product portfolio – A full respiratory diagnostics portfolio dealing with Spirometry, Single Breath CO Gas Transfer, Lung Volumes - Gas Dilution and Full Body Plethysmography, CPET & ECG.

Role –

The Field Based Engineer will be responsible for the support and maintenance of existing respiratory diagnostic medical device products used in NHS and private hospitals as well as the ‘roll out’ and implementation of equipment at new customer sites. The position involves maintenance and general support across hardware and software with responsibility for ensuring service agreements are adhered to. The nature of this position means that on occasion successful applicants will be required to stay away from home overnight. Key functions to include –

  • Equipment repairs

  • Scheduled routine maintenance

  • New product installs

  • Customer Education / assistance.

    Experience required

  • Candidates who are experienced field service engineers from the medical device or associated markets are of huge interest, but experienced field service professionals used to working on equipment that spans electrical and mechanical engineering will equally be of interest.

  • Candidates must have proven experience in field engineering OR show a quality engineering pedigree from the Army / Navy – demonstrable organisational are key!

  • Knowledge of network / connectivity concepts and software updates

  • Project based work / approach

  • Qualification in technical engineering or technical education with sound technical knowledge

  • Technical aptitude to understand, train customers and users on products Excellent mastery of English

  • Flexibility to travel and willingness to overnight

  • Ability to work autonomously in a constantly changing environment. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently

  • Capacity to manage time constraints

  • Driving license
