Logistics Manager (Medical Devices)
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Benefits: Annual bonus, 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) rising to 28, enhanced pension scheme, life assurance, healthcare cash plan, and more.
Location: Croydon (occasional home office work permitted)
Logistics Manager Overview
This is a great opportunity for an experienced logistics manager / supply chain specialist to join a growing medical technology business based on the outskirts of Croydon. They design and manufacture complex medical systems that are used by hospitals across the globe.
They are currently looking for a logistics manager with approx. 7 years of experience. You will be responsible for the creation of all logistics processes which will include working out standard procedures, identifying logistics providers and creating strategies. This role will encompass the logistics of both raw materials and outgoing manufactured products.
This logistics manager role is not a managerial and will involve no direct man-management, at least in the short to medium term. This is a highly strategic supply chain management role that will involve working with virtually all departments to help streamline a process - it will be great for someone who likes the autonomy and freedom to really stamp their mark on a successful medical engineering business.
A background within medical devices (or similar highly regulated sector) is highly preferable due to the international logistics / customs restrictions on various products. Being us to that type of paperwork/red-tape will be very helpful.
Logistics Manager Requirements

  • 7-10 years of commercial logistics and supply chain management experience
  • A background working within a highly regulated sector - ideally medical devices
  • Demonstrable experience creating logistic management plans and creating processes
  • The ability to identify and work with key logistic suppliers and maximise value
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Degree qualified within a relevent discipline
  • Highly knowledgeable on global logistics
