Technical Project Manager

Team Horizon is seeking a Technical Project Manager for a client in Galway to lead R&D Mechatronic development programs.

    What you will be doing:

  • Lead R&D Mechatronic development programs.

  • Coordinate & communicate with customers in a clear manner as the main technical interface between R&D and the customer

  • Liaise with functional leads to drive project timeline & ensuring R&D Mechatronic planning is in place to ensure project milestones are met.

  • Ensure project timeline risks are understood, highlighted & mitigate

  • Liaise with functional managers to compile R&D costs for RFI’s / RFQ’s.

  • Present project updates to peers, colleagues & management.

  • Support other disciplines outside R&D, e.g. quality, process, purchasing, etc. in bringing the project to start of production (SOP)

  • Support with all related SOP activities.

    What you need to apply:

    Priority Skills

  • Minimum 5 year’s experience in project management of multidisciplinary teams in regulated environments such as automotive, medical devices or other similar environment.

  • Experience in dealing with customers with the ability to interpret customer requests with clear communication

  • Extensive experience in planning of projects & use of planning tools such as MS project or similar planning tools.

    Desirable Skills

  • Technical background Mechanical or Hardware

  • Good knowledge of design validation (DV) & process validation (PV) programs.

  • Experience in any or all of Mechanical, Hardware & Software design / technology environments would be advantageous

  • Knowledge of engineering drawings & drawing control is desirable but not essential
