Band 8A Senior Pharmacist - Clinical Trials
Mat Leave Cover Fixed Term Contract 27.75 hours/week

This is an excellent development opportunity for a pharmacist to work within the adult clinical trials service within NHS GGC. Based across the North Sector at both Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Gartnavel General Hospital in Glasgow, you will provide pharmacist support within the clinical trials team. Travel across sites may be required to provide services to some of the portfolio at outlying hospitals on occasion.

Responsibilities
  • Provide pharmacist support within the adult clinical trials service and contribute to the set-up and conduct of clinical trials.
  • Work across NHS GGC sites (Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Gartnavel General Hospital) with occasional travel to outlying hospitals.
  • Collaborate with the Research and Innovation Department; support NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde as sponsor for various clinical trials.
  • Engage with researchers and other pharmacy staff to ensure efficient trial setup and conduct.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Educational and experience requirements as specified for the role (ensure you meet these to be shortlisted).
  • A keen interest in research is desirable.
Contract Details
  • One-year fixed term basis to cover maternity leave; secondment requests will be considered.
