Head of R&D and Product Owner required for an industry leading provider of laboratory equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to play an integral role within a position that offers variety during an exciting time of company growth. 

The successful candidate will hold a degree (or equivalent) in electronics, computer science, biomedical engineering or similar and have experience leading multidisciplinary R&D teams. You will also need experience working in a product ownership role. Candidates from any regulated industry are encouraged to apply. 

The Head of R&D and Product Owner Role: 

Head of R&D:

· Manage a multi-disciplined R&D team of 5, covering software, firmware and hardware

· Define R&D roadmap

· Oversee product development from prototyping, validation to release

· Working with Sales and Operations team to ensure solutions are customer-centric and commercially viable

· Maintain processes and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards

· Manage technical risk

· Oversee R&D budgets

· Drive development of AI features 

Product Owner:

· Maintain and manage prioritised product backlog across software and hardware features

· Work with internal teams and customers to define user stories and product specifications

· Define and communication product vision

· Drive product roadmap, prioritising features and improvements based on impact, feasibility etc.

The Candidate: 

· Hold a degree (or equivalent) in electronics, computer science, biomedical engineering or similar

· Experience overseeing a R&D Team

· Product ownership experience

· Experience in a regulated industry
