Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 (DOE)

About the Role

A well-established engineering and design consultancy is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their growing team. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to take ownership of complex electrical design projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver end-to-end electrical designs, including power distribution, cable sizing, SLDs, and panel layouts.

  • Design and develop control panels.

  • Apply relevant UK standards with a focus on compliance and safety.

  • Collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to allocate tasks and manage timelines.

  • Produce technical documentation including specifications, drawings, and performance calculations.

  • Ensure designs meet both client requirements and all necessary regulations.

  • Conduct site surveys, attend technical meetings, and support project handover with full documentation.

    What We're Looking For

  • Degree qualified or equivalent industry experience.

  • Strong background in electrical system design and component selection.

  • Familiarity with control and instrumentation devices, particularly within building services/HVAC.

  • Hands-on experience with PLC systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Honeywell).

  • Working knowledge of E-plan software (other software will also be considered)

  • Understanding of healthcare compliance and HTM guidelines is highly desirable.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

  • A full, valid UK driving licence is required.
