Siamo Recruitment is currently recruiting for a experienced skilled (Build & Assembly Technician) for our client based in Coleshill B46 who is a UK-based leader in manufacturing and assembly solutions, offering rapid, value-added services tailored to various industry sectors such as e-mobility, automotive, delivery, aerospace, defence, medical devices, agri-tech, rail and leisure.

Hours: Monday-Friday - 07:00-16:00 (Early finish on Fridays 07:00-12:00)
Pay Rate: £15.00ph

Description:

Responsible for manufacturing/assembly/welding activities to meet the demands.
Work to a right-first-time ethic and attitude with awareness of cost and timing efficiencies
Work efficiently to agreed process documentation and work instructions.
Be involved / contributor in initial feasibility/process checks at project Kick-off meetings.
Available for customer On-site reviews/meetings when necessary.
Maintain Tech facility/equipment cleanliness policy.
Ensure all equipment is cleaned/maintained and in full working order.
Responsible for inbound and outbound parts and assemblies, safe and suitable storage.
Responsible for packaging and labelling goods for dispatch.
Use the in-house system (Progress Plus) to log / record entry/removal of materials.
Carry out regular stock checks to ensure seamless, efficient workstreams.
Ensure clear communication with the Logistics team of outbound deliveries.
Maintain awareness of continuous improvements, submitting suggestions.
Reduce environmental impact wherever possible.Desirable:

Knowledge/experience of problem-solving systems 5Y’s, 8D, Ishikawa.
Knowledge of or experience in working to ISO9001, IATF 16949 or similar.
Experience in the preparation of APQP/PPAP/IMDS documentationEssential:

Adaptable & flexible with a positive professional attitude
Ability to communicate and succinctly explain specific project requirements to other departments and staff.

Ability to document and communicate clearly to ensure smooth handover to other members of the team.

Excellent manual dexterity.
Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.
Practical hands-on approach to problem solving.Desirable:
