Mental Health Assistant - Ascot
Aspiring Therapist / Psychologist Role

Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with Autism?
Would you like to gain invaluable experience working in a specialist school that prioritises mental health, therapy, and personalised care?

A fantastic ASD specialist school in Ascot is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Mental Health Assistant to join their team. The school caters for children and young people aged 4 to 16 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), many of whom also experience additional mental health challenges such as anxiety, sensory needs, and social communication difficulties.

About the Role:

Therapy is an essential part of daily life for children with ASD - it helps them to understand their emotions, develop coping strategies, improve social interaction, and build confidence in a safe, structured environment. You will work alongside a skilled team of therapists, psychologists, and teaching staff to deliver consistent, compassionate, and child-centred care.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an aspiring therapist, educational psychologist, or SEN teacher to gain first-hand experience in a supportive and specialist setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporting children and young people with Autism and associated mental health needs
