Polytec are looking for a Manufacturing Technician for our client based a few miles north of Cambridge, to support the production of high-quality devices for customers worldwide. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and enjoys being part of a collaborative, continuous-improvement culture. Initially this is a 6 month fixed term contract however there may be an opportunity to extend or go permanent in due course.

Responsibilities:

* Assemble devices, test, configure and pack all products effectively to specified quality standards, HSE and ESD conditions while keeping work areas clean and managing workload to meet schedules

* Ensure product quality by completing accurate documentation, following approved processes, reporting deviations and supporting investigations

* Support continuous improvement by testing returned products, assisting with corrective actions, contributing to prototype builds and identifying opportunities to improve processes.

* Ensure works orders are started and completed in line with production schedule and in accordance with relevant procedures ensuring 'right first time' approach is maintained

* Prioritise and promote health and safety in the workplace

Requirements:

* Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical devices desirable).

* Electromechanical assembly, PCB soldering, or test experience beneficial.

* Strong attention to detail with a quality-first mindset.

* Reliable team player with a solution-focused approach

* Good written and verbal communication skills

* Competent user of Microsoft applications

* Flexible and able to adapt to workload needs.
