The role of Field Service Engineer – Clinical Diagnostics: -

* Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of our clients current and future Life Science/Diagnostics instrument portfolio based in pathology, biochemistry and haematology labs.

* Undertake repairs/breakdown and fix blood analysers on hospital sites across the London and Southeast region up to Birmingham.

* Organise routine maintenance allocated on a monthly basis.

* Ensure that all documentation, Service Data Bulletins and manuals are of the correct revision to undertake service on specific instrument types.

* Manage personal service spares issued and inventory records to the highest standard.

* Ensure all anomalies are quickly and effectively reported and resolved.

* Ensure all tools and test equipment are adequate to perform the service required, and that all test equipment issued is calibrated at the times specified.

* Complete all Work Orders and associated documentation within a day of completion.

* Perform specific and agreed tasks as defined through the Goal statements, already embedded in the Company Culture

The requirements of the Field Service Engineer – Clinical Diagnostics: -

* 2+ years of experience as a Field Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer with experience installing, servicing & repairing Immunoassay diagnostic OR Clinical diagnostic equipment in hospitals (Ideally based in Pathology/Biochemistry/Haematology departments)

* Related clinical diagnostic instrument servicing experience will be fully considered OR Mass Spectroscopy/GC-MS service/repair equipment experience.

* You will have either an Electronics or Biomedical Engineering qualification - a HND, HNC, BEng or equivalent OR a Biochemistry, Chemistry Degree

* Ability to communicate in a professional manner with customers on all levels, providing service information, technical data and general help as necessary.

* Strong customer service ethic

* Prepared to travel (average 2 – 3 nights away per week but it could be more as required)

* Full UK/EU driving license and full right to work in the UK without needing Visa sponsorship and no travel restrictions.
