Salary (£): GradeE63: Salary in the range of £38,831- £52,656 per annum (pro-rata), dependent on qualifications and experience, in line with current pay protection and transitional arrangements in the NHS.

This is a part-time, fixed term position for 12 months.

The Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences (NDORMS) is part of the Medical Sciences Division and is the largest European academic department in its field, running a globally competitive programme of research and teaching. About the Role

In this role you will act as the Key Local Investigator on the study. In this crucial role you will be expected to communicate effectively with participants, patients, carers, the research team and other professionals as appropriate to ensure that the trial protocol and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are adhered to. You will provide support for Prof Fadi Issa including attending multidisciplinary meetings and clinics as appropriate, maintaining accurate participant’s records and ensuring all relevant information is documented in the medical notes and source data files. You will be responsible for the counselling and consent of potential patients in Study ensuring potential participants have received the appropriate oral and written information about the research project and confirming their suitability.

About You

You will hold an undergraduate degree with honours in Medicine, together with full registration (and a licence to practise) with the General Medical Council (GMC). Experience in supporting clinical studies and clinical skills at the level of a core trainee or above in plastic surgery/burns is essential. Previous experience in the design and/or implementation of clinical studies (including protocol development, data collection and processing) is desirable.
