Supplier Quality Engineer

On-site | Falmouth, Cornwall

A leading innovator in the life sciences sector is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join their quality team based on-site in Falmouth, Cornwall. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a globally recognised company that is driving forward cutting-edge solutions in regulated manufacturing, particularly in the medical devices field.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated problem-solver with strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a solid foundation in supplier management and compliance. You'll thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and play a critical role in ensuring the quality and regulatory compliance of raw materials and components sourced from external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor supplier performance and lead supplier audits.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
Establish and maintain supplier scorecards and performance metrics.
Manage supplier-related non-conformance issues and root cause investigations.
Chair the Non-Conforming Material Review Board and oversee disposition of non-conforming product.
Collaborate with procurement and production teams to maintain compliance with medical device regulations.

What You'll Bring:

A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
2-5 years of experience in a similar quality role within a regulated manufacturing environment (medical devices preferred).
Proven experience with supplier management and audits.
Independent, proactive mindset with strong analytical skills.
Proficiency in Excel and sound computer literacy.
Strong communication and team collaboration abilities.
