Service Team Leader - Medical - £40,000 + Excellent Pension + 25 Days Holiday - Bishop's Stortford

Are you a hands-on team leader with a background in technical service, engineering, or medical devices? We're working with a well-established and highly respected provider of precision medical instruments used across clinics, hospitals, and research environments globally. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Technical Service Team Leader to join their UK-based service operations.

In this key role, you'll lead a small but skilled team of technical service engineers supporting industry-leading diagnostic and surgical equipment. Reporting directly to the Service Manager, the

Technical Service Team Leader will play a vital part in driving service performance, delivering exceptional customer support, and maintaining compliance with regulatory and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, supervise, and support the Technical Service Team to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
Coordinate and provide hands-on assistance with repairs, commissioning, and technical support for specialist medical equipment.
Monitor team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategic changes.
Ensure service delivery aligns with medical device regulations and internal QMS protocols.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to meet wider business goals.

What We're Looking For:

A natural leader with experience supervising or managing a service/technical support team.
Strong technical background-ideally in electronics, biomedical engineering, or a similar field.
Confident problem-solver with the ability to identify and act on service improvement opportunities.
Clear understanding of compliance, quality systems, and the medical device industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
