About The Role

The Senior Engagement Director will lead enterprise deployments and customer success initiatives for Axion’s MedTech clients. This individual will act as the strategic and operational lead across key accounts—owning implementation outcomes, customer adoption, and commercial expansion. Working closely with executive stakeholders, the Senior ED will translate product insights into measurable value for our customers, ensuring that Axion’s AI platform drives meaningful improvements in product quality and reliability.

This role requires a combination of strategic problem‑solving, operational excellence, and strong executive presence. The ideal candidate has deep experience leading complex transformations within medical devices or healthcare manufacturing and is comfortable working at the intersection of technology, data, and business outcomes. They will partner cross‑functionally with Product, Data Science, and Engineering to deliver best‑in‑class solutions while shaping the roadmap to reflect industry needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex enterprise implementations for global medical device manufacturers, ensuring successful deployment and measurable outcomes.
  • Own customer success metrics, driving adoption, retention, and expansion across large enterprise accounts.
  • Develop and maintain executive‑level relationships, serving as the strategic partner for long‑term customer growth.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Medical Devices to refine vertical strategy, support go‑to‑market initiatives, and identify new opportunities for expansion.
  • Work cross‑functionally with Product and Engineering to translate customer needs into actionable product enhancements.
  • Build and mentor a high‑performing team of Engagement Managers and Deployment Leads to deliver consistent, high‑quality execution.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in go‑to‑market, solutions, or commercial leadership within MedTech, life sciences, or healthcare technology.
  • Former Partner, Associate Partner, or Engagement Manager at a top consulting firm (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or equivalent), or senior leader within a MedTech company.
  • Proven ability to own P&L, lead teams, and deliver business outcomes across complex enterprise environments.
  • Deep understanding of the medical device value chain—from design and manufacturing to quality and post‑market surveillance.
  • Strategic, analytical, and execution‑oriented; thrives in high‑growth, fast‑moving environments.
  • Motivated by impact, ownership, and building category‑defining products.

Who You Are

You’re a builder and operator who thrives in fast‑moving, high‑accountability environments. You take pride in getting things done — thoughtfully, efficiently, and without drama. You’re energized by ambiguity, skilled at bringing clarity, and comfortable flexing between strategy and execution.

You value feedback — giving it, receiving it, and acting on it — and you see collaboration as a competitive advantage, not a burden. You’re low‑ego but high‑agency: you care about winning as a team more than being right individually. You move quickly, communicate directly, and make decisions grounded in impact and data.

You don’t need constant direction — you create momentum. You take ownership for outcomes, and you expect the same from those around you.

How We Operate

We move fast, work smart, and hold ourselves to a high bar. Axion isn’t a 9–5 — it’s a place for people who take pride in their craft and are motivated by meaningful work. We respect time off and boundaries, but we’re also realistic: hard problems sometimes require weekend pushes or late‑night thinking sessions. We support that balance — intensity with respect for recharge.

We stay highly collaborative and connected throughout the day — much of our communication happens over Slack. We move quickly, share feedback often, and keep discussions open so decisions and context flow freely. If you value crisp communication, rapid iteration, and a steady hum of collaboration, you’ll fit right in.

Team Values

  • Collaborate deeply. Feedback is part of how we build — everyone has a voice, and ideas win on merit.
  • Leave ego at the door. Titles don’t define value; contribution does.
  • Bias toward action. We iterate fast and favor progress over perfection.
  • Communicate with clarity. Direct, transparent, and always in service of the mission.
  • Act like owners. Everyone is accountable for outcomes, not just tasks.
  • Sustain excellence. We push hard but don’t glorify burnout — we’re in this for the long game.

What We Offer

  • Work with cutting‑edge AI technology making a tangible impact in manufacturing
  • Collaborative, mission‑driven team and supportive leadership
  • Generous time off
  • Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits
  • Lunch stipend…. And much more

Ready to drive the future of manufacturing with AI? Apply today to join our team and help us build the category‑defining platform for quality intelligence.

Neurodiversity in Medical Technology Careers: Turning Different Thinking into a Superpower

Medical technology sits at the intersection of health, engineering & innovation. From imaging & diagnostics to digital health apps, wearables & surgical robotics, medtech is about solving complex real-world problems that directly affect patients’ lives. To do that well, the sector needs people who think differently. If you live with ADHD, autism or dyslexia, you may have been told your brain is “too distracted”, “too literal” or “too disorganised” for a regulated, safety-critical industry. In reality, many traits that made school or previous jobs difficult can be huge strengths in medical technology – from pattern-spotting in clinical data to meticulous attention to detail in device testing. This guide is for neurodivergent job seekers exploring medical technology careers in the UK. We’ll cover: What neurodiversity means in a medtech context How ADHD, autism & dyslexia strengths map to common medtech roles Practical workplace adjustments you can ask for under UK law How to talk about your neurodivergence in applications & interviews By the end, you’ll have a clearer sense of where you might thrive in medical technology – & how to turn “different thinking” into a genuine superpower.

Medical Technology Hiring Trends 2026: What to Watch Out For (For Job Seekers & Recruiters)

As we move into 2026, the medical technology (MedTech) jobs market in the UK is changing fast. Hospitals and health systems are under pressure to do more with less. Diagnostics and devices are becoming smarter, more connected and more regulated. AI, robotics and remote monitoring are no longer “future tech” – they’re being built into mainstream care pathways. At the same time, budgets are tight, funding cycles are uneven and some healthtech start-ups are consolidating or being acquired. That means fewer vague “innovation” roles and more focus on medical technology jobs that directly support regulatory approval, patient safety, NHS adoption and commercial growth. Whether you are a MedTech job seeker planning your next move, or a recruiter building teams for medical device, diagnostics or digital health companies, this guide breaks down the key medical technology hiring trends for 2026.
