Job Summary

The Senior Director FM MedTech Make is accountable for driving FM capabilities and providing oversight of all MedTech Make & Deliver Site Leads globally, across the 4 Business Units: Surgery, Orthopedics, Vision and EP&NV. This individual ensures globally standardized and consistent FM Hard and Soft services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Champion the delivery of standardized, high‑quality FM Hard and Soft services across MedTech manufacturing & deliver sites, ensuring global consistency.
  • Drive integration and alignment across global functions, business unit FM roles, regional FM roles, and outsourced providers to enable seamless service delivery and strategic execution.
  • Cultivate and sustain strategic partnerships between FM and MedTech Make & Deliver leadership to align facilities strategy with business objectives and operational priorities.
  • Own vendor relationships, ensuring performance, issue resolution, and alignment with site needs.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for FM standards, programs, and processes.
  • Lead, develop, and empower Facility Leads to foster a high‑performance culture and operational excellence.
  • Ensure robust business continuity and infrastructure management programs.
  • Provide strategic FM input into capital and operational projects and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Chair and contribute to governance and customer forums, representing FM interests.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance across all MedTech Make & Deliver sites, maintaining audit readiness.
  • Lead deployment of FM and E&PS strategies, translating global initiatives into actionable regional plans.
  • Own the integrity of MedTech Make & Deliver FM data for performance metrics and decision‑making.
  • Champion FM Global and E&PS strategic initiatives aligned with operational goals.
  • Monitor and enforce mandatory training compliance for workforce readiness.
  • Ensure accountability for accurate occupancy, utilization, and spatial data.
  • Provide fiduciary oversight of operating and capital budgets.

Required Minimum Education

  • University/Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Business, Architecture or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Required Years of Related Experience

  • 12‑15 years of related work experience.
  • Strong proven experience in facilities and/or supply‑chain engineering & maintenance function.
  • Strong management and technical skills.
  • Experience with risk management, quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Knowledge of business strategy and portfolio planning for real property and facilities.
  • Authority to make decisions across business units.

Other Required Qualifications

  • Experience working with and socializing strategies within a complex regionally driven organization.
  • Experience leading a facilities function at a multinational manufacturing site or as General Manager or engineering lead.
