Senior Public Health Design Engineer
Location: Edenbridge, Kent
Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum + Benefits

An established and respected building services consultancy based in Edenbridge, Kent, is currently seeking a Senior Public Health Design Engineer to join its expert team. With a reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions, Osborn Associates works on a diverse range of high-profile projects across the UK, Europe, and internationally.

About the Role
The Senior Public Health Design Engineer will lead the design and coordination of water, drainage, and sanitation systems for a wide variety of building projects. The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a proactive approach to design delivery and client liaison.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and specify public health systems including above and below-ground drainage, hot and cold water services, rainwater harvesting, and greywater recycling
  • Lead design teams on multiple concurrent projects from concept through to completion
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and ensure quality and compliance across all public health designs
  • Coordinate with other MEP disciplines, architects, and external stakeholders
  • Undertake site inspections, surveys, and technical reviews
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of UK and international codes and standards
  • Manage client relationships and contribute to business development efforts

    Requirements
  • Degree in Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in public health design within the building services consultancy sector
  • Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, CIBSE guidelines, and international codes such as BS EN and IPC standards
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and design software such as Revit MEP and Navisworks
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Experience with international projects is a distinct advantage
