Production Technician - Night Shift

CK Group are recruiting for a Production Technician (Night Shift), on behalf of a global medical technology company. This role is permanent with 12 hours, 3 nights on 3 nights off shift pattern, and is based in Plymouth.

The Role:

This role contributes to the production of medical devices that make a difference in healthcare worldwide. As part of a dynamic, collaborative team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to assembly lines, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality output.

Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair electro-mechanical faults promptly using methodical problem-solving techniques.
Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and refurbish machinery and ancillary equipment offline.
Ensure all manufacturing equipment is set up correctly to meet established Quality Control specifications and Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards.
Monitor and improve line performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and areas of inefficiency.
Support the installation and validation of new equipment and technology, ensuring smooth production transitions.
Find opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Collaborate with multi-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Maintain a high level of safety awareness, particularly regarding electrical, compressed air, and pressurised systems.

Your Background:

Hold a qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering, such as C&G, HND, or a time-served apprenticeship.
Have a strong engineering aptitude with a keen eye for creative problem-solving and innovative solutions.
You are IT literate and have a methodical, process-driven approach to work.
You are organised, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Have experience in a high-volume, highly automated manufacturing environment, with a focus on safety and quality.
