Job Title: Procurement Assistant

Job type: Temporary initial 3 months with a possibility of extension

Salary: £12.60 per hour

Location: Sedgefield (onsite role)

SRG is exclusively working with a highly innovative organisation tasked with bringing the UK to the forefront of innovation. We are looking for a motivated individual to work with and provide basic support duties to the Procurement Department. We are looking for someone who can start immediately and can work onsite 5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

To maintain consistent and documented compliance with all relevant Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Data Integrity (DI), quality and best practice requirements.
Data input/data analytics and housekeeping of the Procurement Departments electronic folders.
To conducting clerical/administrative tasks within the Procurement Department.
To assist/support the team with any quotation/tender activities.
To use internal Purchase Requisition System to identify purchase requirements and ensuring required information is available to assist the team in the Purchase Order process.
To monitor Purchase Orders on financial accounting system (SAGE 200).
To expedite Purchase Orders with suppliers.
To liaise with internal customers to provide status updates on orders/PD activities.
To ensure supplier documentation is correctly filed / archived.
To ensure goods receiving of Purchase Orders when goods/services have been received.
Any other duties commensurate with the role.

Requirements

Educated to GSCE level (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
Great attention to detail with the ability to input data accurately.
Ideally exposure to procurement or supply chain with the ability to deliver a high volume of work across multiple systems.
