A renowned private medical eye clinic on Harley Street (Oxford Street station) is looking to recruit an Ophthalmic Technician to deal with the growing demand. Training will be provided.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking to deepen their technical expertise in a fast-evolving clinical and research setting. You will work closely with consultants, clinical trial coordinators, and researchers to deliver the highest quality imaging in routine and research-led care.
The Ophthalmic Technician will get:

The Ophthalmic Technician will carry out pre- and post-operative ophthalmic testing for the patients as well as help with surgical and admin duties within the nursing team, They will also play a pivotal role in the patient journey and help to coordinate the management plan required for the patient.
This role pays up to £28k.
Ophthalmic Technician responsibilities:
• Clinical Imaging
• Perform a wide range of advanced imaging tests including:
• Macula and Peripheral OCT (including Ultrawidefield and Navigated OCT)
• OCT Angiography (OCT-A)
• Fundus Autofluorescence (FAF)
• Ultrawidefield Fundus Photography
• Fluorescein Angiography (FFA)
• Indocyanine Green Angiography (ICG)
• Adaptive Optics (AO)
• Microperimetry
• Full-Field Stimulus Threshold (FST)
• Electrophysiology tests (e.g., ERG, PERG, mfERG)
• Biometry and Axial Length Measurements
The Ophthalmic Technician Qualifications and Experience:
· Ability to demonstrate initiative.
· Approachable, polite, and flexible with excellent communication skills.
· Ideally, but not necessarily recent experience in an ophthalmic environment.
· Ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks.
· Enthusiastic, dynamic and highly motivated with a passion for delivering the highest quality care
