The role…

We are seeking a dynamic and insightful Market Intelligence Analyst to join our growing team, specialising in the UK health sector. You will be at the forefront of analysing and interpreting the evolving relationship between health policy development and technology procurement and adoption across the NHS and wider public service landscape.

In this influential role, you’ll produce high-quality market intelligence reports, brief clients through compelling written and verbal communication, and help shape their strategic decisions in the fast-changing health and care environment.

What you’ll be doing…

Produce in-depth reports and briefings on market trends, procurement pipelines, and policy shifts within the UK health sector, with a focus on digital health, IT infrastructure, and innovation.

Deliver clear, insightful client briefings – both in person and virtually – connecting the dots between national policy developments and practical procurement opportunities.

Interpret and visualise numerical and qualitative data to support actionable insights for public sector technology providers and service leaders.

Monitor and analyse government publications, NHS strategies, tender activity, and investment programmes.

Collaborate with internal teams to shape the development of new intelligence products and services tailored to client needs.

What we’re looking for…

Essential Skills & Experience

Demonstrable interest in the delivery of public services, particularly the UK health system.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills – able to present ideas, trends, and data with clarity and impact.

Strong analytical capability – comfortable working with numerical data, market metrics, and procurement statistics.

Experience working in a health service environment (e.g., NHS, Department of Health) or delivering technology solutions into public sector organisations.

Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, insights-driven environment.

Desirable

Familiarity with NHS policy, commissioning structures, and digital health strategies.

Knowledge of procurement portals, frameworks (e.g., G-Cloud, HealthTrust Europe), and IT investment patterns in healthcare.

Experience with tools for data analysis and visualisation (e.g., Excel, Power BI).

In addition to a rewarding career, we support our GlobalData colleagues with a range of benefits across health, finances, fitness, travel, tech and more. To find out more about the roles and benefits on offer in your region, visit (url removed)

How to Find Hidden Medical Technology Jobs in the UK Using Professional Bodies like IMechE, ABHI & More

Medical technology (medtech) is one of the UK’s most dynamic and fast-evolving sectors—combining engineering, healthcare, data science, and innovation. From diagnostic devices and surgical robotics to wearable sensors and AI-powered imaging, medtech is reshaping modern healthcare delivery. But while the demand for skilled professionals is high, many of the best medtech jobs in the UK are never publicly advertised. Instead, these roles are often filled through industry networks, professional associations, CPD events, and member-only job boards. In this article, we’ll explore how to uncover hidden medical technology jobs by strategically engaging with professional bodies like the IMechE, ABHI, TechUK, and other communities. We’ll show you how to use membership directories, special interest groups (SIGs), and innovation networks to connect with employers and discover opportunities before they’re posted online.

How to Get a Better Medical Technology Job After a Lay-Off or Redundancy

Redundancy in the medical technology sector can feel both personally and professionally challenging. Whether your role was in medical devices, diagnostics, digital health, or clinical engineering, the good news is this: demand for medtech talent in the UK remains high, particularly with the ongoing push for NHS innovation, remote monitoring, and AI-driven diagnostics. This guide is here to help you bounce back from redundancy and step into a better role—equipped with new focus, confidence, and strategy.
