Bespak are looking for a Financial Accountant for the King's Lynn site, PE30 2JJ. The salary range for this permanent, hybrid position is between £50k and £55k. Our generous benefits package includes 28 days leave plus bank holidays, 8% company pension contribution to employees 3%, onsite parking and medical / dental / health / life assurance.

Working Pattern – Mon to Fri – Work 7.5 hours + 30 mins lunch break, between 8am and 5pm (8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm). We can be flexible; This role offers a hybrid working pattern of 2 days WFH and 3 days onsite.

In this Financial Accountant role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate corporate accounting, regulatory compliance, and high-quality financial reporting. You will take full ownership of intercompany transactions, balance sheet reconciliations, and posting journals to SAP to guarantee data integrity. A key part of your position involves preparing year-end statutory accounts in compliance with IFRS and acting as a primary contact during annual audits. You will also support the Financial Controller with tax compliance, period-end procedures, and capital expenditure appraisals. Finally, you will help drive continuous improvement by developing new policies and processes to enhance control and efficiency.

As a Financial Accountant, your duties will include:

  • Prepare year-end statutory accounts compliant with IFRS standards.

  • Manage inter-company transactions and raise invoices efficiently.

  • Own balance sheet reconciliations and post SAP journals.

  • Assist with period-end procedures and annual audit processes.

  • Review capital expenditure appraisals regarding budget and cash flow.

  • Develop policies to improve financial control and efficiency.

    Financial Accountant, preferred key skills and experience:

  • Fully qualified ACA or ACCA professional status is essential.

  • Proven background in group reporting or practice.

  • Effective communication skills with diverse stakeholders.

  • Strong Excel abilities and software understanding.

  • A basic DBS is required following a conditional offer of employment.

    Desirable

  • Practical experience working with SAP systems.

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
