Company

Zartis is a global technology consulting and engineering partner helping businesses unlock the power of AI and digital innovation. We work with ambitious organisations across healthcare, financial services, and other highly regulated industries to design, build, and scale solutions that deliver real-world impact.

Our teams bring deep expertise in AI-driven platforms, secure API architectures, and cloud-native engineering, with a proven track record in helping companies accelerate adoption of cutting-edge technologies. From strategy and discovery to full product delivery, we enable our clients to turn complex challenges into measurable outcomes.

With deep technical expertise across Europe and a track record of long-term partnerships with health diagnostics leaders, behavioural health innovators, and connected care platforms, we don't just deliver technology — we deliver business impact.

Role

As Commercial Director for MedTech, you will own and scale Zartis’s commercial presence in the healthcare technology sector. This is a senior, strategic role requiring both commercial acumen and the ability to operate as a trusted advisor to C‑suite executives.

You’ll be joining at a pivotal growth stage — our MedTech experience includes partnerships with leaders in diagnostics, telemedicine, primary care platforms, behavioural health solutions, and connected medical devices. Now, we need someone who can accelerate that momentum, open new doors, and convert complex opportunities into long‑term strategic relationships.

This role is ideal for someone who

  • Has spent years building relationships at the intersection of technology and healthcare.
  • Thrives in consultative, high‑stakes environments where trust and credibility matter more than speed.
  • Knows how to navigate procurement complexities, clinical stakeholder dynamics, and regulatory considerations.
  • Wants ownership — not just of a sales target, but of a market strategy.

You’ll work closely with our Growth, Delivery, and Engineering teams, but this is your practice to build. If you have the network, the experience, and the ambition to establish Zartis as a go‑to partner in MedTech innovation, this is the role for you.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the development and execution of Zartis’ commercial strategy in MedTech, ensuring strong market positioning and sustainable growth.
  • Lead consultative engagements with C‑suite executives to understand complex business challenges and co‑create technology‑enabled solutions.
  • Leverage and expand your existing network within the MedTech / healthcare ecosystem to generate qualified opportunities and strategic introductions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, positioning Zartis as a strategic partner rather than a vendor.
  • Support the planning and delivery of client‑facing events, including roundtables, executive dinners, and workshops designed to deepen relationships and showcase capabilities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for thought leadership content, including blog posts, whitepapers, webinars, and case studies that position Zartis in the MedTech market.
  • Drive revenue growth through new business acquisition, strategic partnerships, and expansion into target MedTech segments.
  • Own the full sales cycle and craft compelling MedTech‑specific value propositions across Zartis’ services.
  • Identify market trends, competitive dynamics, and new commercial opportunities in areas such as AI, data, integrations, and compliance‑driven software development.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Management, Hiring, Tech Leadership, and C‑level stakeholders to shape proposals, advance opportunities, close strategic deals, and ensure a seamless transition to delivery teams.
  • Partner with Delivery, Engineering, and Regulatory experts to ensure feasibility, compliance, and excellence in solution delivery.
  • Manage forecasting, budgeting, pricing strategies, and commercial performance metrics.

What You Will Bring

  • 10+ years of senior commercial leadership experience (Commercial Director, Head of Commercial, VP Sales, or similar).
  • Established network of senior relationships within MedTech (C‑suite, VPs of Engineering, CTOs, Chief Medical Officers, etc.).
  • Proven consultative selling methodology – ability to diagnose business problems, ask insightful questions, and craft solutions rather than simply sell services.
  • Experience in navigating long, complex sales cycles typical in healthcare.
  • Experience in selling professional services or consulting (not just products) in highly regulated environments.
  • Active participation in healthcare / MedTech industry groups, associations, or advisory boards.
  • Strong understanding of MedTech market dynamics, including regulatory frameworks (MDR, FDA, HIPAA, GDPR), and procurement processes.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, winning new business, expanding into new markets, and establishing strategic partnerships.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to engage C‑suite and senior technical leaders.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset with the ability to convert market insights, customer needs, and competitive intelligence into actionable commercial strategies.
  • Experience owning commercial performance, including P&L, forecasting, budgeting, pricing, and related metrics.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams, including Delivery, Engineering, Account Management, and Hiring stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in working with AI‑driven MedTech organisations.
  • Experience in public procurement and competitive tendering processes.
  • Experience in using AI tooling for business process efficiency.
  • Speaking engagements or published thought leadership in MedTech.
  • Board advisory or non‑executive director experience in healthcare.
  • Previous experience at a recognised consultancy, systems integrator, or professional services firm.

Your Ideal Background Might Include

  • Former roles at firms like Accenture Health, Deloitte Digital Health, IQVIA, Cognizant Healthcare, or similar.
  • Track record of closing deals £500K‑£5M+ in contract value.
  • Experience building commercial function from ground up or scaling into new markets.

What we offer

  • Hybrid Working Model
  • WFH allowance: Monthly payment as financial support for remote working.
  • Career Growth
  • Training: Access to training opportunities.
  • Mentoring Program: You can become a mentor in Zartis, or you can receive mentorship, or both.
  • Zartis Wellbeing Hub (Kara Connect): A platform that provides sessions with a range of specialists, including mental health professionals, nutritionists, physiotherapists, fitness coaches, and webinars with such professionals as well.
  • Multicultural working environment: We organise tech events, webinars, parties, and activities, including online team‑building games and contests.

Please note that applications will be reviewed after the closing date.

Medical Technology Hiring Trends 2026: What to Watch Out For (For Job Seekers & Recruiters)

As we move into 2026, the medical technology (MedTech) jobs market in the UK is changing fast. Hospitals and health systems are under pressure to do more with less. Diagnostics and devices are becoming smarter, more connected and more regulated. AI, robotics and remote monitoring are no longer “future tech” – they’re being built into mainstream care pathways. At the same time, budgets are tight, funding cycles are uneven and some healthtech start-ups are consolidating or being acquired. That means fewer vague “innovation” roles and more focus on medical technology jobs that directly support regulatory approval, patient safety, NHS adoption and commercial growth. Whether you are a MedTech job seeker planning your next move, or a recruiter building teams for medical device, diagnostics or digital health companies, this guide breaks down the key medical technology hiring trends for 2026.

Medical Technology Recruitment Trends 2025 (UK): What Job Seekers Need To Know About Today’s Hiring Process

This guide explains what’s changed, what to expect in interviews & how to prepare—especially for SaMD engineers, AI/ML in medical devices, product & quality engineers, regulatory/clinical affairs specialists, validation/verification, manufacturing/operations, and digital health roles. Who this is for: Software/firmware engineers in medtech, SaMD/AI engineers, systems & verification engineers, quality & regulatory affairs (QARA), clinical evaluation/PMCF specialists, human factors engineers, medical device cyber security & privacy, test/validation, manufacturing & operations, field/service engineers, and medtech product managers in the UK.

Why Medical Technology Careers in the UK Are Becoming More Multidisciplinary

Medical technology (medtech) is transforming healthcare in the UK — from wearable sensors to AI diagnostic tools, from surgical robots to telemedicine platforms. Advances in hardware, software, data and connectivity are enabling more personalized, efficient and accessible care. But with great power comes great responsibility. As medical devices and health technologies enter hospitals, clinics and consumers’ homes, professionals in this domain must master much more than engineering and algorithms. They must also understand law, ethics, psychology, linguistics & design. That is, medtech careers are now deeply multidisciplinary. In this article, we explore why medical technology careers in the UK are becoming more multidisciplinary, how these five allied fields now intersect with medtech work, and what job-seekers and employers should do to succeed in this evolving ecosystem.
