Threat Analyst - 6‑Month Contract in Limerick

We are partnering with a global medical device company to appoint a Threat Analyst on a 6‑month contract in Limerick. In this role, you will help safeguard non-connected medical devices already in the field, focusing on known component threats and product vulnerabilities. Working closely with the client's product security team, you will support security activities in a regulated, quality-led environment.

This is not a SOC, SIEM, or infrastructure security role. The focus is on application and product vulnerability assessment and risk management.

Key Skills & Experience

Threat risk assessment - assessing and prioritising risks to products and components in a regulated setting.

CVE analysis and exploitability assessment - reviewing published vulnerabilities (CVE) and determining real-world impact, exploitability, and relevance using frameworks such as CVSS and CWE.

Product security / application security - applying security best practices to product software and applications rather than infrastructure or network security.

Modern AppSec tooling & secure development - exposure to SBOM, SCA, SAST, DAST, or secure software development practices.

Technical documentation & mitigation tracking - clearly documenting findings, decisions, and mitigation actions for traceability and audit purposes.

Desirable Experience

Regulated or safety-critical environments - medical devices, regulated software, quality-led or safety-critical products, and other compliance-driven settings.

Windows-based product stacks - experience with Windows-based applications, .NET, and product software in regulated application environments. If you are a Threat Analyst or AppSec specialist interested in product security, known vulnerability assessment, and CVE impact analysis within medical devices, we would be keen to introduce you to our client's team.
