Are you a Medical Device Design Engineer, Development Engineer or R&D Engineer looking to play a key role in the development of innovative medical device technology within a fast-growing business?

This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious medical device design and manufacturing company in South Oxfordshire during an exciting period of expansion.

You will join a business that has recently moved into a brand-new, state-of-the-art medical device R&D and cleanroom manufacturing facility, backed by significant investment from a larger medical technology group. This newly created role offers the opportunity to help shape the company’s engineering and product development capability whilst working on cutting-edge medical device projects.

The Role - Senior Medical Device Design Engineer:

As a Senior Medical Device Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and industrialisation of medical devices.

Key responsibilities will include:

* Leading technical aspects of medical device design and development projects from concept through to low-volume production.

* Creating 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings using SolidWorks.

* Supporting product development, verification, and product testing activities.

* Supporting design transfer of product designs into manufacturing.

* Designing specialist tooling, fixtures, and development equipment.

* Working closely with manufacturing teams to support prototype builds and low-volume production activities.

* Contributing to engineering documentation and design controls within a regulated medical device environment.

About You:

To be successful in this Senior Medical Device Design Engineer role, your background may include experience as a: Medical Device Design Engineer / Development Engineer / R&D Engineer / Product Development Engineer.

You will ideally have:

* Previous experience within the medical device sector, working on the design and development of medical devices.

* Strong 3D CAD capability including creation of models, assemblies, and engineering drawings. SolidWorks experience would be advantageous.

* Understanding of ISO 13485 and medical device design controls.

* Degree qualification in Medical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering/scientific discipline.

* A passion for innovation and working within a hands-on medical device R&D, development, and manufacturing environment.

Salary & Package:

£45,000 – £50,000 salary guide + benefits

This role would suit candidates based in or commutable from Abingdon, Oxford, Didcot, Wantage, Newbury, Witney, Bicester, Reading, and surrounding Oxfordshire / Berkshire locations.
