Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Role

I’ve recently partnered with an exciting MedTech startup developing a next-generation orthopaedic implant platform. After successfully securing funds for the next 2 years, they’re now in a position to expand their engineering team with a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to help take their system to the next stage of development.

Essential Experience:

• 5+ years of product development experience, with a background in mechanical and/or design engineering.
  
  
• Skilled in defining requirements, rapid prototyping, CAD solid modelling (e.g., Solidworks), tolerancing, and producing technical drawings.
  
  
• Manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, CNC turning, additive manufacturing, and injection moulding.
  
  
• Knowledge of medical device quality and regulatory frameworks in the UK, EU, and US.
  
  Desirable:
  
  
• Demonstrate leadership at a Senior level on MedTech projects
  
  
• Quality Management System (QMS) experience
  
  
• Direct interaction with notified or regulatory bodies (e.g., FDA)
