Job Description:

Johnson and Johnson is currently recruiting for aSenior Director, Data, Advanced Analytics & AI – Innovative Medicine (EMEA)within the Johnson & Johnson Technology (JJT) organization.

Senior Director, Data, Advanced Analytics & AI – Innovative Medicine (EMEA)will be responsible for defining and executing an AI-first, product-centric data strategy that transforms business priorities into scalable outcomes across EMEA. Leads end-to-end data, advanced analytics, and AI capabilities, ensuring responsible and high-impact deployment at scale.

This role will report to: VP / Head of Technology, Innovative Medicine EMEA and dotted line to Global Data & AI Leadership.

Location: Other locations across the EMEA region (United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Belgium, Poland) may be considered.

You will be responsible for:

  • Define and execute an EMEA Data & AI roadmap, prioritizing scalable AI use cases across Commercial, Medical, Market Access, and Supply Chain. Balance quick wins with foundational investments and track clear value metrics.

  • Lead deployment of machine learning, advanced analytics, and Generative/Agentic AI solutions. Drive emerging technologies adoption and ensure full AI lifecycle excellence including monitoring and explainability.

  • Ensure AI solutions are explainable, compliant, and aligned with regulated healthcare environments. Establish governance, ethical usage, and model risk management practices.

  • Build robust data ecosystems with strong governance, quality, lineage, and optimized ETL/ELT pipelines to enable scalable AI across EMEA.

  • Lead cross-functional product teams and embed product mindset with clear ownership, roadmaps, and continuous iteration.

  • Translate strategy into measurable AI use cases, track adoption and business impact, and optimize portfolio continuously.

  • Establish a unified business-technology operating model with clear roles, governance, and alignment across EMEA.

  • Build and lead high-performing AI and data teams, fostering innovation, data literacy, and AI adoption.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent is required in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or a related subject area; an advanced degree (MBA or MS) is preferred.

  • A minimum of 15+ years in data, analytics, AI or digital leadership roles.

  • Strong expertise in data platforms, ML/AI, and delivering business value.

  • Experience in healthcare or regulated environments preferred.

  • A proven track record of project delivery and business relationship management.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions.

  • Strong leadership skills – operate as an independent leader with understanding and appreciation of the global/enterprise context.

  • Strong consultative and facilitation skills required.

  • Strong presentation skills – ability to speak across various forums and communicate to s broad, diverse audience required.

  • Up to 15% domestic and international travel will be required.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€129,500.00 - €222,985.00

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
