Our client is looking for a Scientist to provide scientific expertise to the creation, development and validation of new product ideas and post-market support of consumer diagnostic products in the area of reproductive health in a regulated and GMP compliant environment.
Our client are world leaders in the research, design and supply of advanced consumer diagnostic products. They are a joint venture business, and their brand is recognised the world over as providing accurate home pregnancy and fertility monitoring tests.
In this role, you will be contributing to the completion of activities on assigned projects throughout the development process, undertaking technical evaluation activities of technologies and products within the Assay Development Team.
You will be identifying technology, product opportunities and solutions to delight consumers and build the business. You will be involved in the resolution of problems and technical challenges working with wider project teams on the development of new technologies and improvement of existing technologies.
You will undertake development activities, verification and validation testing, plan and perform testing of solutions, analyse results, draw conclusions and report recommendations with guidance/supervision.
They are looking for individuals who have:
- A relevant science-based degree or equivalent qualification.
- Knowledge and experience of developing products throughout the product development lifecycle, of production scale-up, robustness and validation activities in accordance with their relevant regulatory standards, preferably within the medical device arena.
- Experience of solving technical problems, with the ability to analyse data using appropriate analytical techniques.
- An understanding of process improvement tools and techniques.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, as well as a flexible working approach to accommodate the changing priorities of the business.
- Excellent communication skills, including report writing and verbal presentations of findings.
