Quality Manager

Up to £55,000 DOE

Yolk Recruitment is proud to be supporting a well-established, precision manufacturing business in the search for an experienced Quality Manager to take ownership of quality operations and drive standards across their Bridgwater site. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality professional from a highly regulated sector such as aerospace, medical devices, or advanced manufacturing to play a key role in shaping quality performance, improving processes, and ensuring the delivery of world-class products to a global customer base.

Working within a technically advanced manufacturing environment, you'll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the company's quality management systems, leading continuous improvement activity, and ensuring the highest standards of compliance are embedded throughout the operation. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will directly influence customer satisfaction, operational performance, and the future growth of the site.

Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you'll work closely with Production, Engineering, and wider operational teams. You'll act as a key point of contact for customers and external auditors, while supporting the business with quality improvements and day-to-day Health & Safety responsibilities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all quality activities across the site, driving improvements in standards, processes, and performance.
  • Maintain and enhance compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory quality requirements.
  • Ensure the site continues to meet required certifications, accreditations, and audit expectations.
  • Act as the main point of contact for quality-related matters with customers, auditors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage non-conformances, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality procedures, documentation, and systems.
  • Support Health & Safety activities, including risk assessments, safe systems of work, incident investigations, and promoting a positive safety culture.
  • Work collaboratively with production teams to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and embed quality throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Analyse quality performance data and apply tools such as SPC, PFMEA, PPAP, 8D, Pareto analysis, and root cause techniques.
  • Support internal training and development to ensure teams understand and maintain required quality and safety standards.

This is what you'll need:

  • Proven experience in a senior quality role within a fast-paced, regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working within Aerospace or Medical is advantageous.
  • Experience using quality tools.

And this what you'll get:

  • Competitive salary.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Travel insurance.
  • Life insurance + many more!
