This role would suit an experienced Lead Design Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, or Design Manager from a manufacturing background with strong SolidWorks experience and expertise in consumer electronics, who is looking to transition into the medical device industry.

The Role

• Lead the design and development of innovative medical devices from concept through to manufacture using SolidWorks.
• Manage product development projects, ensuring designs meet quality, regulatory, and manufacturing requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise products for performance, reliability, and production.
• Mentor and support engineers while driving innovation and continuous improvement across the design function.

The Person

• Proven experience as a Lead Design Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, or similar within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong SolidWorks experience with a background designing consumer electronic products.
• Looking to transition into the medical device sector and develop expertise within a highly regulated industry.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and support a high-performing team.
