A Day in the Life

This hybrid position combines advanced clinical and technical expertise across the Visualase Therapy System and DBS BrainSense™ technology. The role demands a highly hands-on, technically proficient individual with deep neuroanatomical knowledge, confident in MRI environments, neurosurgical theatres, and complex DBS programming scenarios. Working closely with Commercial and Market Access teams, you’ll accelerate technology adoption, support service pathway implementation, and cultivate lasting independence at specialist centres.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Provide expert in-theatre and MRI support during laser ablation procedures, ensuring safe and effective clinical delivery
  • Lead system set-up, calibration, and troubleshooting, optimising fibre placement workflows and procedural efficiency
  • Apply advanced neuroanatomy and thermal ablation knowledge to support accurate targeting and clinical decision-making
  • Serve as a technical expert in BrainSense™ and adaptive DBS, supporting clinicians with advanced programming and therapy optimisation
  • Interpret clinical data (e.g. LFP recordings) to deliver actionable insights and improve patient outcomes
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders (neurosurgeons, neurologists, radiologists, and specialist teams) to support adoption and best practice
  • Support new centre activation and service development, including training, onboarding, and overcoming adoption barriers to drive patient growth

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of neuroanatomy and functional neurosurgery
  • Experience in MRI-guided neurosurgical technologies and/or complex DBS programming
  • Comfortable in high-acuity theatre and clinic environments
  • Technical aptitude with capital and implantable medical devices
