Medical Software Development Engineer, Japanese Speaking

The Medical Software Development Engineer will take part in the research, design, and implementation of medical image analysis software and related systems. The position can be based anywhere within the UK.Key Accountabilities:Development of image processing algorithms for medical imaging (e.g., endoscopy)Image preprocessing using OpenCV and related librariesImplementation and application development of machine learningbased image recognition models (C++ / Python)Software development and documentation in compliance with the European Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR)Technical communication in Japanese with our development team in JapanRequirements (Essential):Resident of the United KingdomStrong communication skills in both English and JapaneseExperience in medical software developmentUnderstanding of the European Medical Device Regulation (EU MDR)Experience with image processing libraries such as OpenCVDevelopment experience in C++ and PythonPreferred Qualifications:Experience with C#Experience with medical device software certification (CE marking)Practical experience in medical image processingExperience developing and deploying machine learningbased image recognition modelsFamiliarity with frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlowExperience working in a bilingual (English/Japanese) development environmentLocation:This position is based in the United Kingdom (Remote or hybrid work available)Short-term business trips to Europe or Japan may be required.Working at MaplesoftOur teams build world-class software and services for system simulation, calculation management and systems engineering.
