DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Joints Lifecycle Management Leader – Hips to support our MedTech Orthopaedics business. This position can be based at one of our main Joints Orthopaedics locations.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. Position Summary

Reporting to the Hips Values Stream Leader (VSL), the Lifecycle Management (LCM) Leader will orchestrate LCM projects across the Hips Value Stream. This role requires strong partnerships and a focus on end-to-end connections across the business. This leader will be a member of the Hips Value Stream Team and will work in concert with the VSL to identify and implement critical projects that will transform the Hips supply chain to deliver outstanding performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Value Stream Leader in crafting the Product Strategy Roadmap and identifying E2E supply chain projects to meet VS goals.
  • Partner with supply chain functions, commercial groups and R&D to provide strategic data and insights for LCM activities.
  • Lead and craft the execution of the LCM intake process.
  • Identify interdependencies and risks within the LCM project portfolio and implement mitigations for flawless project execution.
  • Guide project teams through the development of strategies, options, and business cases as applicable to LCM
  • As needed, develop a project plans, and then drive delivery of the project plan to achieve business results
  • Develop, lead and maintain up-to-date Project Timelines inclusive of all critical milestones, key interdependencies, financial commitments and resource constraints, while applying appropriate project scheduling techniques.
  • Drive portfolio complexity management standard processes
  • Partner with Product Management NPI launch leads throughout Stage Gates 3–6 to ensure flawless integration of newly stabilized products into the LCM process
  • Advance key LCM processes - including Product Risk Assessment, Issue Management, and Value Stream Optimization

Qualifications

Education:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree and/or University degree is required; focus in Engineering, Science, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
  • Advanced degree, MBA or equivalent preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience required in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or Quality Management within the healthcare industry (medical devices or pharmaceuticals).
  • Strong experience in change management, project management, and effective global communication.
  • Demonstrated ability in applying project management methodologies and resource management practices.
  • Outstanding communication and able to connect with stakeholders to effectively collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizing skills required.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and/or Lean methodologies.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP/PMI, FPX).

Other:

  • May require up to 25% domestic and/or international travel to other locations and sites
