Our client is seeking a proactive and hands-onFacilities & Equipment Maintenance Engineer to support the continued growth and success of their business.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoysfault-finding, preventative maintenance, equipment servicing and solving technical problems within a busy laboratory, cleanroom, manufacturing and facilities environment.

Working within anISO 13485 regulated environment, you will play an important role in ensuring the reliability, safety and compliance of laboratory equipment, cleanroom facilities, utilities and building services. You will work closely with Production, R&D and Quality teams to minimise downtime, maintain compliance and support the manufacture of innovative products supplied worldwide.

The role is primarilysite-based in Oxfordshire, with little or no travel required during normal working hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across laboratory, cleanroom, production and facilities equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment faults, coordinate repairs and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.
  • Manage preventative maintenance schedules, servicing, calibration and contractor activities.
  • Coordinate external contractors and service providers, ensuring safe working practices.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, SOPs, risk assessments, asset registers and critical spare parts inventories.
  • Support Quality, R&D and Production teams with equipment qualification, validation and verification activities.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Promote a strong Health & Safety culture and ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

About You

You will be apractical, organised and hands-on engineer who enjoys solving technical problems and keeping busy laboratory and manufacturing environments running efficiently.

You will have:

  • An Engineering Apprenticeship,HNC/HND, degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous maintenance experience within a laboratory, manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Experience maintaining industrial, laboratory or production equipment.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with both preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Good Health & Safety awareness.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience within a regulated industry such as Medical Devices, Pharma or Biotech.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 and/or GMP.
  • HVAC, cleanroom or laboratory equipment experience.
  • Calibration management experience.
  • IOSH qualification.
