Location: Hybrid - London 2 days per week

The Opportunity:

Our client, an innovative medical technology business is looking for an experienced Platform Delivery Lead to join its growing technology team. This is a high-impact opportunity to take ownership of the successful delivery of new features and platform releases across a cutting-edge clinical platform supporting global clinical trials.

The successful candidate will sit at the heart of the delivery function, creating structure, coordination and momentum across Product, Engineering, Business Analysis, Testing, Validation and Operations.

This isn't a traditional Project Management role. You'll have significant ownership over how platform delivery is executed, ensuring releases are delivered on time, to a high standard and right-first-time. You'll be responsible for identifying risks early, coordinating dependencies, removing blockers and ensuring teams remain aligned around key roadmap priorities.

You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, including the CTO, while also coordinating client-specific configurations and deployments. The role will have a strong focus on operational readiness, release management, KPI tracking and continuous improvement.

This role would suit someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys bringing structure to complex delivery programmes and is confident working across technical and non-technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Delivery & Release Management

  • Own the delivery of platform features and releases against agreed timelines
  • Maintain a clear view of both near-term delivery goals and longer-term roadmap priorities
  • Coordinate deployment schedules around incoming client requirements
  • Manage dependencies, responsibilities and blockers across cross-functional teams
  • Coordinate UAT, validation and release activities to ensure right-first-time delivery

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Engineering, Business Analysis, Testing, Validation and Operations teams
  • Coordinate requirement intake and support effective requirements gathering
  • Facilitate feature demos and ensure early stakeholder feedback is incorporated
  • Lead key meetings, drive clear actions and ensure effective follow-through
  • Build alignment across teams and bring colleagues along through periods of change

Operational Readiness & Change Management

  • Assess the operational impact of new platform features
  • Own release readiness and change management activities
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement, training and operational preparation
  • Support successful adoption of new functionality across the business

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and track KPIs around feature delivery and release performance
  • Monitor metrics including velocity, bug rates and UAT pass rates
  • Analyse post-release adoption and impact to improve future delivery
  • Use lessons learned and platform support insights to improve processes and ways of working
  • Map and optimise feature development and deployment processes to improve productivity and quality

What We're Looking For:

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience within programme management, project delivery, implementation or operational delivery
  • Proven experience leading and coordinating cross-functional project teams
  • Experience working within fast-growing or changing organisations
  • Strong experience working with Agile software development methodologies
  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands
  • Strong focus on quality, accountability and delivery against timelines
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to bring teams together around shared objectives
  • A proactive, detail-oriented and results-driven approach
  • Experience driving process and system improvements

Desirable:

  • Experience working closely with technical teams on software platform delivery and implementation
  • Experience using DevOps tools to support delivery, planning and release management
  • Formal training or qualifications in Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, PRINCE2 or a similar discipline
  • Knowledge of GCP, ISO13485, ISO27001 or similar quality frameworks
  • Familiarity with SOC 2 / SOC 3 and secure, compliant software delivery
  • An engineering or technical background
  • Experience working with structured delivery lifecycle or process frameworks
  • Previous experience within a scale-up or significant organisational change environment

4If you're an experienced Delivery Lead, Programme Manager or Project Manager looking for a role where you can take genuine ownership of platform delivery while working on technology that supports global clinical trials, we'd love to hear from you.
