Trainee Medical Devices Support Specialist – East Midlands

Karl Storz Endoscopy (UK) Ltd is looking for a Trainee Medical Devices Support Specialist to be based on‑site across our customer hospitals in the East Midlands. The role does not require direct experience – full training will be provided. Passion for healthcare and strong customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide on‑site, hands‑on client support of Karl Storz medical devices (endoscopes, instruments and video equipment) for assigned clients within a hospital or surgical facility.
  • Work primarily in the client’s Operating Department and associated clinical areas.
  • Ensure Karl Storz equipment is always available and fully functional, facilitate training to all levels of staff, continuously improve quality and maintain the highest standards of Karl Storz services.
  • Develop knowledge, skills and experience within medical devices through contributions to the on‑site support function SMART Solutions Team.
  • Progress through a bespoke 12–18 month training programme with the aim of transitioning to an OES role or a wider role with Karl Storz UK.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and ability to multi‑task.
  • Healthcare or technical qualification or relevant experience desirable.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, service‑oriented team environment; recent graduates with a relevant science or medical degree will also be considered.
