Do you have experience in Quality Control or Quality Inspection and have good administration skills? If so, we would love to hear from you. We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Quality Administrator / Technician to join this well established company close to Horwich. The role offers a starting salary of up to £25,000, depending on experience, for a 34.5 hour working week (including an early Friday finish!) and benefits including a company pension, free onsite parking and the chance for up to 24 days holiday plus bank holidays.

What will you be doing as a Quality Administrator?
The role of the Quality Administrator /Technician is to ensure that incoming products meet the agreed product specification and are released for sale in accordance with documented procedures. In addition, you will support the Quality Systems Manager in the administration of the Quality Management System. The role is predominantly administration role but will also involve some elements of hands on quality checking and testing. Duties will include:

Obtaining and checking documents of conformity for all products
Inspecting deliveries to check product labelling and packaging, all relevant testing is complete and required documents have been received
Inspecting and testing of product samples
Informing suppliers of all product non-conformances and assisting with investigation into non-conformances
Updating of Corrective Actions database with records of non-conformities and maintaining non-conformity files
Ensuring completion of quarantine documentation and communication of additions/removals from quarantine to the warehouse team and customer services
Ensuring that sales returns are inspected, recorded, identified, segregated and communicated
Completing hygiene audits and other internal audits , documenting and reporting on all findings
Administration of product recalls and artwork changes
Scheduling and assisting with internal audits
Maintaining supply chain documents and supplier files
Supporting the Quality Systems Manager in the continuous improvement and development of quality systems
We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:

Experience in a similar Quality Administration or Quality technician role, ideally in a regulatory environment such as pharmaceutical, medical devices, chemicals, food or nursing
Experience of quality control or compliance auditing would be beneficial
Ideally educated to A level or possibly degree level
Comfortable using Excel and Outlook
An excellent eye for detail
Confident with the ability to challenge
Conscientious, hardworking and willing to learn

A salary of £23,500 to £25,000, depending on experience
