Join Johnson & Johnson MedTech to support cardiovascular innovation in the West Midlands. Johnson & Johnson MedTech is a leader in advanced 3D cardiac electro‑anatomical navigation. We are seeking a Technical Specialist to promote and support the CARTO 3 system and related products.


Purpose of the role

The key objective of this role will be to deliver the sales target within the identified geographic area, meeting all strategic and business objectives, delivering product and customer training plans, and providing the highest level of clinical and customer support in line with the coordinated account team plan.


What To Expect

  • Support, promote and upsell CARTO 3 procedures and thereby grow catheter utilisation in EP aligned with the Business Plan.
  • Provide clinical and technical expertise for coverage of cases performed with the CARTO 3 Navigation System.
  • Deliver your customer training plan and effectively transfer knowledge to empower customers to use the Biosense kit effectively and independently.
  • Follow mandatory training and attend local and abroad training programmes to maintain and develop knowledge required to fulfill your role effectively.
  • Execute key marketing strategies to include the successful roll‑out of new products and innovations in partnership with the regional New Technology Specialists.
  • Contribute to developing innovative activities to achieve sales targets and allow the franchise to gain market share and differentiate from competition.
  • Maintain and develop firm business relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and other strategically important clinical and economic partners.
  • Develop an in‑depth understanding of the needs and objectives of customers on all levels to develop tailored solutions that improve sales.

Who are we looking for?

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred in biomedical engineering.
  • Proven experience as a clinical support specialist within the medical device field.
  • 3D mapping experience preferred but not crucial.
  • Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent listening skills and ability to build positive relationships quickly.
  • Capacity to gain in‑depth product and procedure knowledge and to communicate effectively with all partners within the EP lab setting.
  • Self‑disciplined, organised, and able to take ownership and responsibility for business objectives and own time management.
  • Initiative‑taking with a desire to succeed in a fast‑paced role.
  • Collaborator, entrepreneurial, analytical person.
  • Ability to positively influence thinking, behaviour, and gain dedication.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Full and clean driving licence.
