Supplier Quality Engineer - Femtech - Oxford

A well‑funded and rapidly scaling Femtech innovator in Oxford is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to strengthen and develop its supplier base, ensuring that all components and materials entering and leaving the business meet the highest standards. Newton Colmore is recruiting for this role exclusively, so applications must be made directly through us.

In this position, you will take ownership of the continual evaluation of existing suppliers, the identification and onboarding of new partners, and the ongoing monitoring of supplier performance. You will ensure compliance with ISO 13485, lead CAPA activity, apply your quality expertise to design‑for‑manufacture considerations and support the wider supplier quality function as the company scales.

This role offers significantly better balance than most Supplier Quality positions. Travel will account for only around 30% of your time, compared with the typical 50-80% seen across the industry. The position is also hybrid, allowing you to work from home two days per week, giving you greater flexibility while still remaining closely connected to the team and manufacturing environment.

Ideally, you will be a qualified Lead Auditor with experience working within an ISO 13485‑compliant environment. However, we are also open to candidates from other highly regulated sectors such as biotech or aerospace.

The technology being developed is genuinely transformative within women's health, with the potential to improve outcomes and quality of life for thousands of people worldwide. The company has secured significant investment due to the success of its platform, providing long‑term stability and a strong foundation for continued growth.

In return, you will receive an excellent starting salary, private healthcare, income protection, life assurance, a pension scheme and a generous holiday allowance, alongside the opportunity to contribute to a groundbreaking Femtech innovation.

Interest in this role is expected to be high. If this opportunity aligns with your experience and ambitions, we encourage you to apply promptly.

To discuss the position in more detail, contact Andrew Welsh, Director of Medical Devices, Biotech and DeepTech Recruitment at Newton Colmore, on (phone number removed). Alternatively, submit your CV and a member of our team will be in touch to discuss next steps

Where to Advertise Medical Technology Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise medical technology jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards and MDR/IEC 62304-aware channels that reach biomedical and medtech talent. The medtech candidate pool spans biomedical engineers, regulatory affairs specialists, clinical scientists, software engineers working within IEC 62304 and MDR frameworks, imaging scientists and commercial professionals with deep healthcare sector knowledge. General job boards consistently conflate medical technology with broader healthcare, pharmaceutical and IT roles — producing high application volumes but low candidate quality for specialist medtech positions. This guide, published by MedicalTechnologyJobs.co.uk, covers where to advertise medical technology roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.
